PRIVACY POLICY FOR agreEAT

Last updated: 29 September 2026

1. ABOUT agreEAT

agreEAT is an app that helps families, couples, friends and other small groups agree on what to eat.

agreEAT is provided by Andreas Svahn, a sole trader operating under the name Labud Labs.

This Privacy Policy describes what information is processed when you use agreEAT, why it is processed, and what choices and rights you have.

agreEAT is intended for adult users. The app may be used by families and children may participate together with adults, but the service is not specifically directed at children.

2. NO TRADITIONAL ACCOUNT IS REQUIRED

agreEAT is designed to be used without traditional account registration. You therefore do not need to provide, for example, an email address or password to use the app's basic features.

Instead, a technical, anonymous user identity is created when the app is used. It is used so that the app can recognise you and, for example, keep track of which groups you belong to and which rounds you participate in.

The technical identity is not intended to identify you as a natural person.

If the app is deleted, the app's local data is removed, or you change devices, you may lose access to previous groups if no recovery feature is available.

3. INFORMATION THAT MAY BE PROCESSED

Depending on which features you use, agreEAT may process the following information:

  • Technical user identity.
  • The display name you choose to use in a group.
  • Groups you create or join.
  • Group memberships and roles.
  • Invitations and group codes.
  • Dishes that you add yourself.
  • Images that you choose to add to your own dishes.
  • Which dishes are enabled or disabled in a group.
  • Rounds started within groups.
  • Which participants take part in a round.
  • Yes and No votes.
  • Final votes.
  • Results from rounds and how the result was decided.
  • Technical information required for push notifications, if you choose to allow notifications.
  • Information required to manage and verify purchases, such as whether ad-free access has been purchased.
  • Information required to display and measure advertisements and manage advertising consent, when advertisements are used.

Some settings and technical markers are stored only locally on your device. These may include, for example, sound and haptic settings and information needed for the app to know which stages of a round have already been shown.

4. HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED

The information may be processed to:

  • create and manage groups,
  • allow users to join groups,
  • display group members,
  • manage custom dishes and images,
  • start and conduct rounds,
  • register votes,
  • determine results, finals and wheel-of-chance outcomes,
  • display the same result to participants,
  • send push notifications about relevant events, if notifications have been allowed,
  • manage and verify purchases and ad-free access,
  • display and measure advertisements for users who do not have ad-free access,
  • manage advertising consent,
  • maintain the security of the service and prevent unauthorised use,
  • troubleshoot and improve the technical operation of the service.

We do not use the content of your food votes to create a personal profile of your food preferences for marketing purposes.

5. LEGAL BASIS

Where the processing is subject to applicable data protection law, we process personal data on the basis of one or more legal grounds.

Processing necessary to provide features that you use may be carried out in order to perform the agreement for use of the service or to take steps at your request.

Certain processing may be carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest in providing, protecting, troubleshooting and improving a secure and functional service.

Where consent is required, for example for certain processing related to advertising or certain device permissions, consent will be requested separately.

You can withdraw consent through the settings or consent tools available for the relevant processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before the consent was withdrawn.

6. GROUPS AND OTHER USERS

agreEAT is a group-based service.

Other people in the same group may see information required for the group to function, such as your chosen display name and your status in an ongoing round.

Individual votes are not intended to be shown to other participants during voting. The result is calculated by the service.

People who have access to a valid group code or invitation link may use it to join a group in accordance with the app's rules. You should therefore only share invitations with people you want to invite.

7. CUSTOM DISHES AND IMAGES

You can add your own dishes and, if you wish, images for those dishes.

Only upload images that you have the right to use. Avoid uploading images containing sensitive personal data or other personal information that is not necessary for the service.

Uploaded images are stored so that they can be used and displayed in agreEAT.

Depending on your role and the app's permission rules, you or the group owner may be able to edit or delete a custom dish.

8. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

If you choose to allow push notifications, agreEAT may register a technical device token used to deliver notifications to your device.

The token is used to deliver push notifications and is not intended to function as a public identifier.

You can disable notifications through your device's system settings.

A token that no longer works may be disabled or removed.

9. ADVERTISING AND CONSENT

The free version of agreEAT may contain advertisements.

agreEAT intends to use Google AdMob for advertising in the mobile app.

Depending on applicable rules, your consent choices and how the advertising service is configured, Google and its advertising partners may process technical information relating to, for example, your device, your use of the app and your interactions with advertisements.

Such information may be used, among other things, to display, limit and measure advertisements, prevent fraud and, where permitted and where you have made the relevant choices, personalise advertisements.

Where consent is required, a consent solution will be used. It will provide further information about the relevant advertising providers and the choices available to you.

Where the feature is available, you can change or withdraw your choices.

Users who have activated a valid purchase of ad-free access should not be shown the advertisements covered by that purchase.

10. IN-APP PURCHASES

agreEAT may offer in-app purchases, for example to remove advertisements.

Purchases are made through the store from which the app is distributed, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Payment information such as full payment card details is handled by the relevant store provider and not by agreEAT.

agreEAT may process information necessary to verify that a purchase is valid, activate the purchased feature and restore previous purchases where supported.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

agreEAT uses or may use external service providers to provide certain features.

These may include providers of:

  • technical operation, database services and file storage,
  • push notifications,
  • advertising and advertising consent,
  • distribution and purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

These providers may process information to the extent necessary to provide the relevant service and in accordance with their respective terms, privacy policies and applicable law.

The information in this policy may be updated when the final technical integrations for the mobile app have been determined.

12. HOW LONG INFORMATION IS RETAINED

Information is retained for as long as necessary to provide agreEAT and for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as otherwise required or permitted by law.

When groups, custom dishes or other information are deleted, related information may also be deleted or scheduled for deletion.

Certain information may need to be retained for longer where required for, for example, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or the handling and verification of financial transactions.

Locally stored settings and technical markers may disappear when the app is uninstalled or its local data is cleared.

13. DELETION AND YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on the applicable data protection law, you may, under certain circumstances, have the right to:

  • receive information about how your personal data is processed,
  • request access to personal data relating to you,
  • request correction of inaccurate information,
  • request deletion of personal data,
  • request restriction of processing,
  • object to certain processing,
  • withdraw consent,
  • receive certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Because agreEAT can be used without a traditional account, our ability to link server-stored information to a particular natural person may be limited. We may therefore need information that enables us to identify the technical user identity or group to which your request relates.

The app also contains features for managing certain information, such as leaving groups and deleting your own dishes or groups where you have permission to do so.

Information about how to request deletion of your agreEAT account and associated data is available here:

You can also contact us at:

support@labudlabs.se

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Sweden, this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

14. SECURITY

We use technical and organisational safeguards to limit unauthorised access, alteration and deletion.

Access to group data is restricted based on membership and permissions. Critical actions, such as managing rounds, votes and results, are checked on the server side.

However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely free from security risks.

15. CHILDREN

agreEAT is intended for adult users and is not specifically directed at children.

The service may be used in a family setting and children may participate together with adults.

agreEAT is not intended to be used to create marketing profiles of children based on their food votes.

If you believe that personal data relating to a child has been processed inappropriately, you can contact us at support@labudlabs.se.

16. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some providers used by agreEAT may process personal data outside Sweden or the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where personal data is transferred to a country outside the EEA, the transfer shall be carried out using an applicable transfer mechanism and the safeguards required under applicable data protection law.

17. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as agreEAT develops, when features or providers change, or where necessary for legal or regulatory reasons.

The date at the top indicates when the policy was last updated.

In the event of material changes, we may also provide information about them in the app or by other appropriate means.
